I've been reading about AI getting better at actually doing tasks instead of just answering questions. This article basically says we're about to have a bunch of AI agents working alongside us, actually taking on jobs and responsibilities rather than just being a chatbot on your desk. The article warns that companies are going to deploy these things way faster than we can figure out how to work with them. I think they're right to be nervous about it. We barely know how to trust these systems with simple stuff, let alone giving them access to actual workflows and decisions. The "no one's ready" part feels accurate. What bugs me is the article seems to assume this is just happening to us, like it's inevitable and we should just brace for impact. Been reading about how companies get their start in different countries and apparently Honda's entire US operation basically traces back to this tiny 1971 N600. Everything that made them successful here came from that little car's blueprint. It's kind of wild to think about. The N600 was basically a microcar, nothing fancy, but it got people interested in Honda as a brand when they were a total unknown in America. They kept iterating on that formula and suddenly you've got the Civic and Accord dominating the market for decades. It's the kind of origin story that feels almost too neat to be true but apparently just happened. My only thing is I wonder how different the car market would look if that one car had flopped.
