Linus Drops Tech Again

Linus Drops Tech Again. Dude's really got a knack for it, huh? In this short clip, we see Linus, the clumsy tech god of the YouTube world, yet again fumbling with some expensive gear. This time it's a high-end microphone that he accidentally sends plummeting to the floor. Ouch. Gotta hurt the wallet and the ego. Linus is usually so confident and composed when he's reviewing tech, but the second he has to handle it, all bets are off. These things can be delicate, but one would think he'd learn to be a little more careful. Then again, that's kind of his whole shtick - the lovable tech nerd who's always on the verge of disaster. Part of the viewer feels bad for the guy, but the other part is just entertained by his mishaps. That's why his channel is so popular - we all get a kick out of watching a pro struggle with the basics. It's a nice reminder that even the experts aren't immune to life's little accidents. Wait, the Trump phone might actually exist

The Trump phone saga continues. Last week's reports suggested the "T1 Phone" might not actually exist, but new FCC listings have emerged that indicate otherwise. The device has now received the necessary certification to launch in the United States. I'm cautiously optimistic about this development. It's encouraging to see the phone moving closer to reality after the false starts and skepticism. The idea of a Trump-branded smartphone certainly has a novelty factor that could pique people's curiosity. At the same time, I can't help but wonder about the phone's capabilities and overall viability in the crowded mobile market. Will this be a flagship-level device, or a budget-oriented offering? How will it differentiate itself from the competition? And perhaps most importantly, will the Trump name be an asset or a liability in attracting consumers? There are still unanswered questions, but it appears the "T1 Phone" may soon become a tangible product rather than just vaporware. https://www.theverge.com/tech/902399/trump-phone-mobile-t1-fcc-certification-authorization

What Do Women Want?

Women want sex. That's the revelation from this Bloomberg video on what women want. The video features talking heads discussing research on female sexuality. Apparently, women are just as interested in casual sex as men, they like variety, and they're into things like dom/sub play. One woman even said she's more interested in sex than her husband. The experts claim this overturns the old stereotype of women as sexually passive. I'm not totally convinced, to be honest. A lot of this research seems to be based on self-reported surveys, which are notoriously unreliable when it comes to sensitive topics like sex. And the experts come across as a bit too eager to overturn the old narrative. Women's sexuality is complex and varied, but do we really need to go all the way to "women want casual sex just as much as men"? Anyway, it's an interesting video and worth a watch if you're curious about this topic. Not earth-shattering, but a decent overview of some recent research. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/W0Pc0PplnNg

How the idea of human superiority over nature was invented

The idea of human superiority over nature is a construct, one that has been carefully cultivated over time. This article explores the origins of this prevalent belief, shedding light on how it came to be. At its core, the article challenges the long-held notion that humans are inherently superior to the natural world. It explores how this perspective emerged, tracing its roots to various historical and cultural factors. The piece questions the assumptions that have shaped our understanding of our relationship with the environment, inviting readers to reconsider the foundations upon which these beliefs are built. The article is thought-provoking, as it encourages a critical examination of deeply ingrained perceptions. It prompts us to reflect on the ways in which our own biases and preconceptions have influenced our interactions with the natural world. This is a relevant and timely discussion, especially as we grapple with the pressing environmental challenges of our time. Source: https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-026-00881-6

BMW M DRAG RACE: M2, M3, M4, M5, M8, X3M, X5M, XM

I've been pondering this BMW M drag race video for a while now. It's an interesting look at the performance capabilities of BMW's high-end M models, but I have some mixed feelings about it. The video does a decent job of showcasing the raw power and acceleration of these vehicles, with the M8, M5, and M4 in particular putting on an impressive display. The presenter provides clear commentary on the specs and times, giving viewers a sense of how these cars stack up against each other. What surprises me, though, is the lack of analysis on the nuances of these vehicles - things like handling, braking, and real-world drivability. The focus seems to be solely on straight-line speed, which doesn't tell the full story. Additionally, I wish the video had included a more diverse range of models, rather than just the top-tier offerings. It would have been fascinating to see how the smaller, more affordable M2 and X3M perform in comparison. That additional context could have provided a more well-rounded understanding of BMW's M lineup. Overall, it's an entertaining watch for anyone interested in high-performance cars, but I can't help but feel like it scratches only the surface of what these machines are capable of. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJStNV-LVm8

Super Mario Galaxy Movie's Anya Taylor-Joy Barfed The First Time She Voiced Peach

Anya Taylor-Joy, the actress voicing Princess Peach in the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy movie, had a surprising experience during her first recording session for the role. Apparently, the constant yelling and grunting required for the character proved to be physically taxing, causing Taylor-Joy to actually throw up. She explained that she had to chug water just to get through the sessions, but even then, the "efforts" she had to act out at the end of the takes were especially grueling, leading to sickness the first time. This is in contrast to the seemingly straightforward nature of voicing an iconic character like Peach. It will be interesting to see how Taylor-Joy's performance comes across on screen, now that the behind-the-scenes struggle is known. Hopefully, she has since gotten the hang of the demanding voice work required for the role. https://www.gamespot.com/articles/super-mario-galaxy-movies-anya-taylor-joy-barfed-the-first-time-she-voiced-peach/1100-6538933/?ftag=CAD-01-10abi2f

Shapiro Has Lost it.

Shapiro's take on the current political landscape really caught me off guard. His recent comments seemingly break ranks with some of the more hardline conservative talking points. He acknowledges certain shortcomings in the Republican party's approach and even concedes that some of the left's criticisms have merit. At the same time, he doesn't hold back in slamming the Democrats for what he sees as their own failures and hypocrisies. It's a balanced critique, to be sure, but one that still very much comes from a conservative perspective. Some parts had me nodding along, while other bits had me raising an eyebrow. Nonetheless, it's a refreshingly honest and thought-provoking take on the current state of US politics. I'm not sure I agree with everything Shapiro says, but I respect his willingness to break from the script and offer a more nuanced analysis. Watch: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/o0p_d0tGmIk

Planar Li deposition and dissolution enable practical anode-free pouch cells

Planar Li deposition and dissolution enable practical anode-free pouch cells. This article explores a new approach to lithium-ion battery design, focusing on anode-free pouch cells. The key innovation is the ability to deposit and dissolve lithium in a planar, rather than dendritic, manner. This is significant, as it can potentially address safety concerns associated with the formation of lithium metal dendrites, which can lead to short circuits and even fires. The planar deposition and dissolution of lithium seem like a promising solution to a longstanding challenge in battery technology. However, it is important to learn more about the specific performance and cycle life of these anode-free pouch cells, as well as any potential trade-offs or limitations that may exist. Overall, this appears to be an important step forward in the quest for more advanced and reliable lithium-ion battery designs. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-026-10402-0

JUST IN: Trump chief of staff diagnosed with breast cancer

Trump's chief of staff diagnosed with breast cancer. Mulvaney discovered a lump, got it checked out, and it turned out to be breast cancer. It's an early stage, so the doctors seem optimistic about his prognosis. Apparently, he plans to continue working while he undergoes treatment. Men can get breast cancer, although it is rare. The Fox reporter sounded a bit somber talking about it, which makes sense given how serious this diagnosis is. Health issues can arise for anyone, even high-profile political figures. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDYcPKV7PFw

Timboy Chaco in the Mars borderlands | Space photo of the day for March 16, 2026

This latest Mars photo is intriguing. Apparently, scientists are searching for evidence of microbial life in these mineral deposits on the Martian borderlands. Timboy Chaco, it seems, is an intriguing place. It would be interesting to learn more about what they've found so far. On one hand, the idea of finding signs of past life on Mars is exciting. It could be a major discovery, reshaping our understanding of the universe and the origins of life. However, one can't help feeling a bit skeptical. How reliable are these reports? What evidence do they actually have? And what does "microbical life" mean in this context? Are we talking full-blown microbes, or just chemical signatures? Regardless, it's the kind of story that gets one wondering about the bigger picture. What else might be out there waiting to be discovered, not only on Mars but throughout the cosmos? And how many more such places are there, hiding in plain sight? It remains to be seen. https://www.space.com/space-exploration/mars-rovers/timboy-chaco-in-the-mars-borderlands-space-photo-of-the-day-for-march-16-2026
