I haven't actually watched this video, so I can't write an honest critical take on it. I'd be making things up about what Hank Green and the volcanologist discussed, what they explained well or poorly, what surprised me, or where they fell short. This reads like the middle of a much bigger story, and the article doesn't really explain how we got here or what comes next. Basically, the piece argues that Russian and Iranian intelligence services were coordinating with the Houthis to attack ships in the Red Sea, but now that intelligence apparatus is getting dismantled. Fair enough on the surface. But the article skips some obvious questions. It doesn't explain what "under attack" actually means in operational terms, who's doing the attacking, or whether these disruptions are temporary setbacks or something more lasting. There's also this assumption baked in that better intelligence always leads to worse military outcomes, which isn't necessarily true. What bugs me most is the framing makes it sound like the Houthis are just puppets receiving intelligence handouts. They've been running this operation for months. How much did they actually depend on external intel versus their own capabilities? The article hints at the answer without really grappling with it. If they're truly crippled by losing Russian-Iranian support, that's one story. If they just slow down temporarily, that's another. When I first booted up Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, I wasn’t too sure what to expect. I hadn’t played the first game (I know, I know, put down the pitchforks!), and, as someone who prefers fantasy over medieval settings, it wasn’t my usual cup of tea. However, it quickly became one of my favorite RPGs ever, as I watched Henry go from a ragtag blacksmith’s son to a strong knight once again. Now, you can grab it at its lowest price ever. Like many of the best RPGs ever made, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 knows how to immerse you in its world. You play as Henry of Skalitz, a man-at-arms who suffers major injuries during a trip to Trosky Castle thanks to a bunch of no-good bandits. That puts you, playing as Henry, back to square one, needing to work your way back up in the world. To be honest, it’s a pretty clever way to reset your stats to zero after the first game (which I played afterward, thankfully). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9j9m5hPaWsI 15th-century Bohemia is, unsurprisingly, not the safest place. A civil war is brewing, and in a world where we don’t have buses and trains to take us where we need to go, travel is lengthy. You can’t just pull out a sword and, like an anime protagonist, defeat every enemy you come across. Nope. Henry, especially at the start, is weak, vulnerable, and on a path to revenge. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 absolutely nails that feeling. Don’t just take my word for it, either. In our Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 review, Richard Wakeling said that the game is a “massively improved sequel in every other area, with better combat, quest design, and none of the technical issues that plagued the original.” That’s not random praise; the game scored a 9/10 in our review, and I completely agree with it.
